Parents,

I’m sure many of you have questions about next Monday August 21st concerning the solar eclipse. Cobb County has extended the school day by 45 minutes so that we do not have dismissal during the eclipse. Dismissal will be at 3pm instead. We have also been advised by the district that all students in grades K-2 will not be allowed to go outside to observe the eclipse. We will have the NASA channel available for the students to watch on TV. If you would like to have your child view this amazing occurrence, we suggest checking out your student before 2pm that day. Any students checked out early on Monday will not be counted against them in terms of attendance. If you have any questions please let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

Mrs. Hamrick
